I've been wanting Photo Phonebook for a while
Thanks to Jeremy Liew for connecting me to the kids that run a small iphone app shop called Zintin.
I came to them with an idea for an app that i've always wanted. It is basically an app that sucks photos from a centralized directory (and also from facebook) to my phone.. I always liked having my friend's photos show up when they call, but I am too lazy to take their pictures and set it up for each and every contact I have. This app scrapes around to get their pictures for me.
Now I have about 40% of my contacts with pictures in a few minutes.

Hi, I've been using your app for the last 2-3 months now and noticed that it is now no longer available in the Apple app store and the ppb website seems to be down.
Has this program been discontinued?
yep, the guys working on it got sidetracked by another app that they built and had to abandon the photo phonebook project.
i've been using an app called FeX (facebook exchange) that works pretty well instead, although i think it costs $1 :)
hopefully facebook will just implement this functionality soon in their app!
